Tips on Car series cables

To find out if electric cars are still considered a healthy or not, usually using a voltmeter (preferably using a digital voltmeter to make it easier to analyze the results).

• Check the voltage with the engine off conditions. A good battery will show the voltage between 12-13 volts.
• Check the alternator to the living conditions of the engine and all electrical devices (headlights, audio, air conditioning, heating the glass, etc..).
• Check the voltage at a point where there is positive electricit, such as coils, lamps, lighters, and other components. Look for the section that allows you to check the main voltage. Should the voltage difference of not more than 0.5 volts, when the far adrift from the indicated battery, the troubled car on elecrticity (there is an interruption in the circuit of te cord).

Electrical checks

Check the engine room.

If a lot of extra wires that are not standard and not so tidy in the engine room of the possibility of electrical problems. Check all electrical componens.

Software solutions electricity problematic :

• Negative cable/grounding system generally, maufactures just put the negative cable is sent direcrly to the engine block, then from the engine block connected to the body or chassis with smaller wires.
• Alternator is weakgenerally the car alternator has a power of about 60-70 Ampere, and most adapted to the amount of battery capacity. But the wear and tear can affect the ability of the alternator produces an electric current so its less than they should.

Solution : Recondition the alternator. If possible replace the alternator with a greater power from the battery. For example a car battery has a capacity of 65Ah, then seek to power 90 Ampere alternator.

It is the goal for power supplies in anticipation which generally have an additional electrical load. For example, a lamp with a greater power consumption or audio system, but it's also due to loss quality cables with age. Strong alternator also lighten the work of battery because it can quickly fill up when electricity is used, so the battery life could be longer.

Solution : Describe the wires and find the source of the damage. To fix the cable should be replaced as a whole (TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE WIRING HARNESS CABLE WITH A SERIES OF ORINGINAL), but in terms of cost, the way is fairly expensive.

Should replace the damaged cables are intact. When replacing, ideally the cable connection is soldered and wrapped with insulation burned, so the connection can be closed completely.

• Detection of leakage current leakage currents are sometimes difficult to detect. If the alternator and the car battery is healthy, but the backup power in the battery runs out fast, do not be too quick to conclude that the ability of bad batteries store electricity.

Solution : Check if there is leakage current resulting in the battery being drained while the engine and other equipment are switched off. When this happens, you should go to the garage whi know enough about the car electrical system so that problems can be resolved down to its toots.
